I received this rhema from the Lord months ago and now how I know so well why he gave it to me. In these past few months I have experienced all the above with such intensity to detour and derail me from what the will of God is for my life but by his grace Nothing has stopped me. This walk with Jesus has been a lonely, narrow and many times painful road. Yet, every time I have been met with resistance the Lord continues to give me the grace to not only preserver, endure but to say “yes’ to him. He did say …

Matthew 7:14
How NARROW is the gate and DIFFICULT the road that leads to life, and few find it.

Oh how we can forget that so easily in a generation and culture where especially in the western world following Jesus doesn’t seem to cost much because the Gospel has become comfortable, self-seeking, world and people pleasing, prosperity driven Gospel. Which is so far removed from what Jesus said Luke 14:25-27 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said:  “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.  What we have been really taught is not to follow Christ but, to follow our denominational traditions, fundamentalist beliefs, and even follow after popular ministers. However, Jesus made it very clear to count the cost to be his disciple you must not love family, even your own life to follow me. I would say that is the biggest attachment and impediment to anyone who wants to live a religious life for the Lord. The apostles all had professions, some had wives and children but, immeaditly they heard the voice of the Messiah, Jesus Christ calling them. They stopped and left immeaditly to follow him. I can imagine the suffering they went thru and endured for the sake of loving the Lord more than they loved their lives.

The Lord has a known will which is given through is word. Instructions for any believer to live their lives according to his standard and commandments. Furthermore, the Lord has a “unique” will for every soul upon this earth. Its is our job through pursing intimacy with Jesus that he reveals or better yet leads us into his perfect will for our lives. My Journey to becoming a Franciscan sister has been full of opposition and even since answering the call to leave my family, friends, church and follow Jesus to New Mexico (His Will).  I had faced sneers from loved ones the day before I was to leave for New Mexico they had an intervention at my going away gathering. Where  they invited a pastor without my knowing as they prayed over me for deliverance because they felt I was deiceved I still continued to follow (His Will). I have faced much persecution when I began to share my beliefs on social media concerning the communion of saints and our wonderful Blessed Mother. As many people criticized me on all fronts both publicy and privately I still continued to follow (His Will). I faced a warning from my church by posting the Rosary Prayer and prophetic messages from Jesus to warn his brides to pray for our President because it didn’t fit with the beliefs of the Church so was given an ultimatum to remove my post or step down form leadership. I still continued to follow (His Will) and stepped down.  I was faced with entreaties from my loved ones to please honor my mothers wishes, my family name and come back home because this wasn’t what they had planned for MY life…I still continued to follow (His Will).  When I finally arrived in New Mexico and found myself facing very cold nights on the mountain, sleeping in a tent, and having to a Lords supper at night in the cold. I could’ve, just went to bed early or even called it quits because of the the weather and living conditions but…I still continues to follow (His Will). I faced many demonic attacks in dreams, sleep paralysis, demonic oppression…I still continue to follow (His Will). I  have faced much suffering and I know I will continue too in this walk with the Lord as he is giving me the grace to count it all joy!

I feel the most painful and sure way the enemy will use to detour many from the Lords will is FRIENDSHIPS through men’s opinion and the fear of men. Jobs friends came in the guise to console him when he lost everything but rather all turned too criticize him harshly instead in his darkest moment. Even the Lord was tempted by Satan through his closest friends and disciple, Peter to stop him from carrying The Cross, that would bring redemption to all mankind.  Matthew 16: 22-23 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!” But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Jesus was abandoned and betrayed by the closest ones to him when he needed them the most…following the will of His Father. So how then can we think we will be greater than the master? I too lost all my friends and relationships. The closest ones too me have indeed criticized my walk, many have said the same things Peter said as I made my decision to pick up MY cross and follow the Lord to New Mexico “Nana, Far be it that you are hearing from Jesus, Far be it to dishonor your Parents, Far be it that you should move to New Mexico and leave everything behind, Far be it that Jesus wants us to suffer, Far be it that you are called to a life of Poverty, Far be it to be to pray to the saints or Blessed Mother, Far be it that you should follow Jesus in this way …but, they too were not mindful of the ways of God. You see, I must remember that its not them. Many have pure intentions and motives but, it is indeed Satan working through all to stop me…to stop you from doing the will of God. You must not be attached to anyone or anything to follow Jesus, not moved by mans options or even the hatred of hell. For truly when something is the will of God all Hell will come against it…literally.

My brethren it will COST YOU EVERYTHING to follow Jesus and the call of God upon your life. If you have no resistance or oppression then you might want to discern again if your going in the right direction. We are called to follow that same thorny, painful road Jesus took to calvary, yes he finished it on the cross but, he calls us to now pick up our cross and follow him down that same narrow road too die to ourselves that He may live. Which is filled with much tribulation but, so much more consolation, freedom, joy, peace that passes understanding, contentment and deep intimacy you couldn’t imagine!! I wouldn’t trade my cross nor do I regret anything the Lord has allowed in my walk. For it has strengthen me, humbled me, grown me, strecthed me, and drawn me into such a deep intimacy place with Jesus. For the greater the suffering, the greater the intimacy. So my friend, what is stopping you from saying “yes” to Jesus from doing the will of God? Set your face like flint, put your hand to the plough and don’t look back. Trust him he is so Freaking FAITHFUL!!

Luke 5:10-11
Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.    ”Leave everything and follow me”

Singleness In Light Of Eternity

48db8e86db9259a105274034599e119a_400x400

I know, I know I can already the see the eye rolls of many young ladies who are desiring, have been waiting and some to be frankly honest desperate to get married . I can also hear some ladies saying “what do you mean I shouldn’t desire marriage?” lol of course not. Marriage is a wonderful gift from the Lord and meant to be an example and a reflection of our relationship with him. However, in our generation marriage and  weddings have been idolized and magnified leaving those who are single feeling incomplete, hopeless and sometimes purposeless which is a lie many have believed and soooo far from the truth. We have even taken the worlds approach by encouraging ladies to make themselves available, to even look a certain way to catch the eyes of a man or even worse were conditioned to believe as a single woman when you come to Jesus the next step is getting married. So you pursue, hunger for that, desire that all through your single season….and its wasted. In light of eternity there is so much work to be done whiles your single! I know man go through this too but speaking from a woman’s point of view because that’s what I am. A single 32 year old lover of Jesus and pursing him with everything I have…..until he GIVES me marriage!

Song of Solomon 8:4
Don’t excite love, don’t stir it up, until the time is ripe—and you’re ready.

I love this scripture especially this message version is says not stir up love until you’re ready. Many ladies believe they are ready for marriage but let me challenge you are you truly? As I said before marriage is a gift given by God but most importantly it is suppose to mirror the relationship you have with Jesus already. As a single woman Jesus is your husband (Isaiah 54:5), Is he your everything, do you do everything with him and for him?  One thing that confused me upon surrendering to the Lord was I began to notice many young Christian ladies around me who would talk more about marriage constantly, go to conferences for it, pursue it, pray and fast for it than Jesus (which there is nothing wrong with these things) but my hearts desire was to pursue more of Jesus. An aunt of mine even made a comment to my mom stating “Wow Nana is really into the Lord she must be wanting a husband”. I was like whaaaaa lol I was noticing that was the mentality of most of the African woman at my local church. You could have success in your life and career but if you weren’t married it meant nothing and that going to church as a single woman was to find a husband (the devil is a lie ) LOL. Please I wanted Jesus more than my last breath and I still do #lovemesomehim.

Ephesians 5:22
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.

Are You Submitted Bride To Jesus

Ladies how you are single is how you will be married. If your discontent, complaining, unhappy, selfish, not driven or motivated and especially not submitted to the Lord that’s exactly how you will be when you get married. That’s dangerous lol. Marriage is an example of what your relationship is with Christ. So if you haven’t totally surrendered to the Lord in every area of your life then how than will you know how to submit to your husband. So in this single season why don’t you ask God what it means to submit to him. Are you obedient to what he ask you to do, are you mindful of what you watch, where you go, how you spend your time and even your money all just to please him? Do you seek Jesus for counsel before you make decisions?

Proverb 14:1
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Are You About His Kingdom

What are you doing with this beautiful gift of singleness the Lord has entrusted to you. Are you a wise woman building up his kingdom or are you building your kingdom? Many ladies have their hearts so focused on marriage  that they become idle no doing anything to really impact the kingdom. Some might think the only ministry you will have has only to do with you and your husband. However, your life should be a ministry now. In Genesis the Lord blessed the man and the woman and said “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:28).  Many use this scripture solely pertaining to barring children but God wants you to bare fruit so are you? There is soooo much work to be done. All of  you have an amazing purpose outside of your husband in this season.  This season might be for intercession of others, serving your community or local church, traveling on mission trips, hosting events to draw many to Christ,  evangelizing where he places you, leading bible studies, serving children, poor and elderly or might be season to walk in deliverance, freedom, healing, building your confidence, trust and faith in your true husband Jesus! Guess what, when God finally gives you the gift of marriage none of these things stop, your spouse just adds on to it…..to the Kingdom. #Kingdomcouple

So you see sis you are burdened with a glorious amazing awing purpose and it doesn’t begin when you get married but, it began the moment you said yes to Jesus…..hehe wait you see how when a man ask you “will you be my wife?”…well when you accept Jesus you actually say yes to being his bride hahah I love that! So now that your married to Christ take his hand in this single season and do life with him. Eternity starts right NOW and he has gifted you with so many other gifts he wants you to use right NOW. So what will you do to impact eternity whiles you wait…for the gift of marriage?

The Word For This Year Is “Child Like Trust”

15826321_10154791474204774_5332951717471943676_n

So isn’t she the cutest….yes that’s my  3 year old niece London aka my mini aka Lolo :). I have heard it said that when you have children you then come to understand your relationship with the Lord even more deeply. You began to see and understand from his eyes and his heart through your child. Interestingly enough the Lord has been teaching me through my niece Lolo about trust and  how many times I try to do things on my own instead of relying on his own strength. When the Lord gave me these two lessons I laughed thinking “oh my goodness Lord that’s exactly how I am with you, huh” and just had to write about it.

John 1:12
but as many as received him, to them gave he the right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name;

You see everyone believer is a child of God that is our true identity. We are sons and daughters of the Most High King, the Creator of the Universe, the one who Started it all and will End it all, who was in the Beginning and is the End, the One true living God that is our Father. Soooo why don’t we trust him? lol Oh how we can talk a lot of  lip service all day but how many of us continue to worry, to doubt, to even fear because we forget who are Father is and how close he is to us in every detail of our lives.

The First Lesson: Child Like Trust

I went out to the playground with my sister and my nieces the weekend after Christmas and we bought Lolo these new Frozen skates she wanted to test out. Mind you she has never skated before but, she was so excited. As she began to walk up the trail she began to cry and was really scared so my sister grabbed her hand to walk with her. However, she was still so fearful holding my sisters hands alone then I caught up with them and grabbed her other hand upon doing that I immediately felt her feeling more secure. She immediately let her legs go beneath her which made me hold on more tightly startled I thought she was falling just to look down and see she was doing it on purpose. As she began to do tricks, turning her feet, letting her legs go to skate then she would pull her body up again just to do it all over again. My sister retorted I guess she didn’t feel confident with just me she had to have you beside her too. Then we both burst into laughter and I told her oh my goodness this is how it is when we walk with God. As we grab the hand of the Father and Jesus’s hand we immediately trust that we cannot fall, they wont fail, that they are for us, and that they got us so we can do anything! That’s what the Lord reminded me in prayer as I asked him for a word in 2017, the image of my niece that night came to me as he reminded me “Child Like Trust”. To have both hands planted firmly in his trusting in his promises and his lead in my life. To chart new territory and not to fear the unknown or uncomfortable but, to only let go of my fears, worries and reservation and as I do with the help of he Holy Spirit I will do some amazing tricks lol…..or should I say works/breakthrough for the Lord!

Second Lesson: Trust In His Strength & Ability

Now this lesson came this week as my niece came over to stay with me for a day. I had to moves some foldable chairs and tables from my living room into my storage room. So immediately my niece ran to help saying “I want to help”. I told her sure, grab one of the chairs so she did as I grabbed two. Then she attempted to walk in front of me and hold the chairs on her own but, she couldn’t. So I grabbed the top half of the chair and began to assist her carrying most of the weight as she held the chair and walked with it. She was so excited she was carrying the chair all on her own….or so she thought lol. As we placed the chair in the storage room she was so excited that “she did it” as I praised her my hands began to get hot ( sidenote which has become a manifestation of Gods presence) I just burst into laughter again thinking oh my goodness this is exactly what I do with you huh lol. So I continued as she asked again to help, she grabbed another chair but, this time wanted to do it all by herself and go ahead of me. I told her to wait but, she didn’t listen and the chair came crashing down after a few steps. She looked so scared then looked back at me so sad as I told her its okay. Let me help you, as I picked up the first half of the chair taking most of the weight and allowing her to carry it to the storage room. The last and final chair she attempted again slightly a little more cautious but, still didn’t wait on me so it fell again. Instead of being sad this time she immediately bend down looked at the chair then back at me and asked me to help her. All I could do was laugh as I knew the Lord was teaching me a valuable lesson on trust and relying on him right before my eyes.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

How many times do we ask the Lord use me, use me or “I want to help Lord guide me”? Then when the Lord directs us we “think” we can actually do it on our own and even when we do it, it is him doing the work through us by His strength not ours. Then when we become confident in our own ability we tell God…its okay I can do it. We run ahead of him and then when we stumble it leaves us fearful, sad and sometimes hurt. However, do we learn from that nope lol we just decided to still do it on our won but be more cautious then we stumble again however by this time we learn Gods grace and his goodness so we come to him and ask for help. How faithful he is to continuously, always and forever help us when we ask. He is soooo good! This two lessons taught me not only to trust God but his heart for us as his children. As my love for my niece compelled me to always run to her rescue and just be delighted to assist her how much more our father in Heaven. He takes pleasure in loving us, protecting us, being with us and helping us because he knows there is now way we can do it whether we believe that or not. Yet he is so gracious and patient. So what have you not been trusting God with, what have you been trying to do in your own strength? Or has he told you to be fearless this 2017 year yet you still doubt his provision to help you bring things to past? Will you trust like the child that you are, will you seek his help and rely on his ability and strength above all else to do a great work through you? Let go and be in awe this year as you walk into a place of “Child like trust, Child like faith and Child like love this year!

God bless

You Were Created To Dance In The Fire

a1d7f05fa6ee1607ef54ab815ca4a6aa

“You were created to dance in the fire” that’s what the Lord spoke to me in my alone time this past week. He showed me a beautiful picture of me in a furnace on fire dancing around not burned, moving freely, swirling, and twirling around unmoved by the heat, the flames that consumed me because he was right there with me. Wow, I was blown away by impression form the Lord and sidenote: I love the image for this post because embodies almost what I  saw thank you Holy Spirit lol (I always ask him to help me pick out the photos he is the best!)

So in the last blog I let you all in on the fact of the fiery trials that were going on with cars breaking down back to back, financial strains and jobs being lost left and right. Jesus was teaching me how to have a heart of thankfulness amidst my trials and suffering. Furthermore, he wanted to teach me how to dance through them by holding his hands and keeping my gaze on him only as he takes the lead in this wonderful dance. Not only to endure through them but to count it all joy knowing that our faith will be rewarded.  As a believer you can experience fire from two different places the fire of the Lord and Fiery arrows of the enemy. The word of God states the Lord is a consuming fire (Hebrew 12:29) wow, that’s the God that we serve. For unbeliever that should leave them shaken for his consuming fire comes upon the unrighteous as a consuming wrath. However, for a believer He consumes us with his love, his glory, his anointing, his power and how is it possible were able to contain it all in our weak vessels of clay called bodies its only by abiding in him. By walking with so when fiery trials come so he can teach us how to dance when the fire of God falls on us and when the enemy releases his fiery arrows at us as well! lol

There are three scriptures that came to my mind. The first was Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego this was a perfect example of what it looked like to dance in the fire with Jesus because these guys were literally in a fire. I can imagine what that day was like they all were facing what looked like death because they were uncompromising serving the one and only true God. If they wouldn’t bow to the statue of the King they would be thrown in the fire. How many times have you been in a situation where you had to make the right decision that would cost you, maybe even cost you your life? Did you have faith to trust God in that moment were you full of fear, anxiety, worry and doubt? I love their response to the king as they faced death with fire they said:

Daniel 3:16-18
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Wow, that response took a great level of faith. They knew that God would defend them and deliver them. I love the fact that they said even if he doesn’t we will not lose our faith, lose our hope, we will not cower. Amazing! May we ask for that grace to have that response  when the Lord will doesn’t look like our will (They danced, I would say boogied in the fire! lol)

The second scripture the Lord brought to my mind was:

1 Peter 4:12-13

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

This scripture talks about the sufferings, trials we go through as believers sometimes our trials aren’t based on a decision that we made or any open doors but these are our crosses to bare, our sufferings that we can offer to the Lord. They allow us to grow in virtue. Have you ever found yourself in a situation that seems overwhelming, burdensome or even painful and you immediately go into thinking its the enemy. There he goes that sly little devil and you start praying, binding, rebuking and the Lord says “stop its me. I am allowing this for my glory, for you to grow in your faith, and for you to trust me”. Lol Those are the times you have to cling to him and his promises all that the more.  Will you trust him when your rent cant be paid, when people speaking against you, when you have no way around, when you have nothing to eat, when they say you cant have a child, when the Dr. gives you a bad health report, when you have no money for the holidays, will you dance in the fire with him?

James 1:2-4
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

The third scripture was:

Ephesians 6:16
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

As a believer sometimes we forget we are in an on going spiritual battle that is very real. Ether you are a soldier in the army or your being help captive there is no middle ground in this fight. When you come to know Jesus Christ you are now a captive that has been set free and the enemy knows that very well. He will try to do whatever he can to make you feel defeated, discouraged, and ultimately held captive by him again. We know our adversary Satan and his demons are very real. They will stop and don’t stop at nothing to attempt to make our lives miserable on this earth. The Lord tells us not to be ignorant of the schemes and wiles of the devil for he is very cunning (2 Corinthians 2:11). With fiery arrows they shoot with anger, division, lies, joyously, condemnation, doubt, fear, death just to name a few. So you can find your self in a fiery situation that was caused by the enemy of our soul to lose hope, to lose trust and ultimately lose faith in the Lord.  Job was a perfect example of a righteous man who went through a fiery trial immediately all of his friends and everyone around starting believing he had to have done something bad for all these things to happen to him. He had to have sinned however, the Lord came to his defense even before the trial began as he spoke to Satan of how righteousness his servant was and offered him to Satan to be tested (Job 1:8) Say whaaaaa, yes God offered Jobs name to be tested. Makes you wonder when you go through fiery trials has God offered your name to be tested. Can He say “look at my son/daughter they are righteous and love me so much that no arrow of yours will stop them from trusting, believing or having faith in me”? You see even in the enemies fire that’s when we dance all that the more, we move with grace, compassion, understanding, longsuffering and patience. As we cling too, hold on too the one we love the most Jesus! Going completely unscathed, no burns, or singes because he is right in the fire with us. Fighting our battle, as he leads my feet in this dance of fire to trample on the enemy!

 Job 42:10
After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

God restored Job completely and multiplied even all that he had before. Truly our God waste no trials, no suffering, no inconvenience, no hardship or heartache and when we trust him he restores all that was lost. So will you grab the hand of Jesus and allow him to lead you through the difficult times in your life. Will you stay in a heart of thanksgiving and praise so you become so overcome with his joy that your mourning turns into dancing. That all though your situation hasn’t changed because your gaze is fixed on him you began to dance in the fire with him!  Will you trust him?……Now DANCE!

Grace of Thankfulness

dolorosa5d.jpg

You know the Lord speaks in so many different ways and sometimes by numbers. I know many people have seen 111, 333, 444, 555 etc and the Holy Spirit has actually taught me what some of the meanings are when he shows his children those numbers. Numbers have a biblical meaning and shown three times consecutively becomes a love letter from the Lord to you. The number  3 is the Godhead (the Triune) so when you see 333, the Lord is reminding that God the Father, Jesus the son and the Holy Spirit are with you. Beautiful reminder he is with you. The number 4 is Gods creative works, so seeing 444 the Lord is reminding me to “work” . To be diligent or obedient if he has given me a project to do or a task. Now the number 5 is of Grace, redemption……good ole 555, to be honest I cringe when I see this, now I have learned to laugh a little, but nervous and pray lol. When I see 555 the Lord is telling me a suffering is coming, a Simons cross, a trial is coming. Since 5 is his grace  this scripture comes to mind:

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

I remember first coming to the Lord one of my many passionate prayers have been that I would live for him, I would be willing to be rejected for him, and I would be willing to suffer for him. Oh, how he has kept me to my word lol As I began to read Gods words during difficult times I realized in his eyes we are blessed to suffer for his name. As we have our own crosses he allows suffering which is a trial, inconvenience a “Simons cross” which makes it more difficult because we are carrying an additional crosses for someone, something or a situation. Simon was the man that helped our Savior and Messiah carry his cross when Jesus couldn’t carry it anymore. This man thought he didn’t commit the crime why should he help carrying this so called “dead mans cross” not realizing the very cross he carried, carried his sins and that “dead man” was the savior of the world. If Simon would’ve known he would’ve responded with such excitement and with so much (Thankfulness)

Mark 15:21
A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.

Many believers are going through trying ties right now because we are carrying crosses for the world and our nation for God mercy and his will to be done. So fast forward I began to see 555 often about two weeks ago and the first thought was oh oh, Lord a suffering/ trial is coming lol Usually, when I see that it affects just me but this time this trial affected my whole family. The Lord had spoken through this ministry I follow and told us Holy Trials where coming and the way we can overcome is having a grace of thankfulness

My Cross:

  • My sister lost her job the same week I lost mine
  • Then last week my brother in Law and my brother lost their jobs on the same day
  • Last week my sister car broke down and now we have only one two cars in the house
  • So no I am stuck waking up in the morning giving people rides @ 5am and dropping off the kids

This all happened in one month and has been very difficult for my family at the same time we have been through worse lol. So finally my brother in law got a job but needed a ride back and forth. I thought about it and told him I could help, so I committed to taking him to work 5am, dropping the kids off at school, picking him up then picking hem up from daycare. So this week I found myself dreading getting up 5 am and not having anytime to do any projects, being just tired I began to complain to the Lord. He spoke to me “stop complaining I am preparing you for marriage” . I was like whaaaaa Jesus, haha okay I wasn’t seeing things from his perspective or having his heart to sacrifice.  This was teaching me to be a good steward of my time and giving me first hand experience what it would be like having a husband, children a family and still making time to spend with the Lord and work on all the projects he has given me. (Thankful)

Grace of Thankfulness

So during this trial the Lord kept reminding of that message of how we should be grateful and thankful in every trial. Its allows us to grow in patient, longsuffering, and most importantly trusting him. I got to encourage my family not to look at our circumstances but look to Jesus. Through this my sisters decided to do a family prayer line every week, which we did last Thursday and it was awesome. In my heart I was overjoyed in awe seeing my sisters draw closer to the Lord like never before (Thankful). Then this Monday we had a night of praise and worship at my moms house. My Brother in law came as well, everyone was so down and stressed with the loss of jobs and financial strain but the Lord reminded me again praise and worship me for what I am doing. So initially everyone was seated just a heaviness in the room but by the end of the night even my brother in law was up clapping his hands dancing and praising God. We all left that night so full of joy and thankful for all that we had! (Thankful) There is truly power in having a heart of praise and thanksgiving despite what your going through because we know God is working it all out!

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

So we all don’t have jobs yet, nor is my sister car fixed but I know that God is with us now more than ever. I will worship God for who he is, what he has done, and what he is doing because I know he is transforming my family, transforming our hearts to transform our lives. He is so faithful!!! So what cross does God have you carrying? Know that he is suffering with you and that cross,  those trials, and inconveniences are baring much fruit for his kingdom and causing you to grow in virtue as well. When it seems unbearable ask him for the grace of thankfulness. For that is the more reason you should get some worship music and praise God even all that the more because He is Good and is working it out!!

God bless you!

When God Calls You To Walk On The Waves With Him

leap-of-faith

I know a lot of times we hear when God  is calling you higher that means your going deeper which is true, but a lot of times it never looks they way you envision it. You think a deeper dive in the ocean but he actually means he is calling you higher. Higher level of faith, trust, hope in him. Not only does he call you out of the boat to walk on the water but he calls you then to go deeper which requires a deeper level of trust and faith by walking on the waves with him.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.

My walk has been nothing short of interesting to say the least, just a few weeks ago I wrote a blog about contending with contentment at my job.  The job that I was finding difficult to wake up every morning to go to0, the job that I was complaining about, the job that the Lord was teaching me to be excellence, content, and faithful at……..well that job let me go last Tuesday. You would think I would be excited or relieved but it was such a shock, very unexpected. I think sometimes the Lord is thinking this girl doesn’t know what she wants, isn’t he so gracious lol! I woke up that morning excited in the wee hours of 4 am to spend time with the Lord and wonderful time it was in his presence, worship and reading the word before work. I was so full of joy that morning, now I had heard rumors of our positions being changed but not losing our jobs however, I went in that morning finding out we had a surprise meeting and they told us we were let go and to go home. I wasn’t sure what to think, if I can be honest inside I was keeping cool but on the inside I think my soul was jumping lol All these thoughts of doubt, fear, anxiety hit me..one of the lies of the enemy was telling me “see you woke up spend all that time with the Lord and he didn’t forwarn you, you don’t really hear from Jesus” that was the hardest lie I was trying to cast down.

OUT OF THE BOAT

You see, the Lord called me to lay down my life for him almost  3 years ago. I had intended on pursuing my own business I had at the time, my clothing and jewelry line and move to NY until I had a radical encounter with my beloved Jesus and it changed everything. So when he asked me  almost 3 years ago to live for him I said “of course, I will tell everyone about you and what you have done for me, my life is yours no turning back! I surrender all to you Jesus”. So when the Lord lead me to my job I thought I wouldn’t be there for long or so I thought a few months turned into a year, then the one year turned to two and I was anxious along the way but the Lord kept telling me to wait, Nana wait….

Psalm 27:14
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.

ON THE WATER

So in the midst of waiting he began to change my perspective and stir my heart for him in such a way to have my life be a witness for others. That wasn’t my intention at the job but he began to show me that I was there by assignment in the midst of me waiting.  So I started to notice the Lord giving me opportunities to share him with my coworkers, to pray and encourage and he even opened the door to began a prayer meeting at the job! Which I looked forward too and enjoyed, he began to give me words of knowledge and dreams about my coworkers to draw them closer to him! Indeed he was stirring my passion to be bold and courageous for him however, he began speaking to my heart to totally surrender and abandon myself to his will. I would get this word over and over again to the point it became frustrating because I thought I had totally surrendered, I wasn’t sure what else I needed too. I kept telling the Lord all is yours, I live a hedged life because you ask that of me, I am at this job surrendered to waiting on you because you said too what else Lord. Thinking to myself I am like peter Lord, you called me to walk on the water jump out of the boat called  “Nanas idea of her life” to follow you and I did just that not sure what else I can give…oh but was I mistaken. He wanted TOTAL SURRENDER & ABONDMENT which means whatever may come, whatever you allow Jesus I am yours. I remember when I started hat job and being around other Christians friends who were called and knew their calling I was so insecure at that time and doubtful because I didn’t know mine so I went on lunch break crying out to the Lord to show me my calling please just show me and he said:

“I cant show you I have to lead you”

WALKING ON THE WAVES

So now he has lead me out the boat, on the water now even higher to walking on the wave. Losing my job caused my eyes to be fixed on the storm rather than on Jesus gaze and his hands that have been right in front of me. I knew the next step from this job would be walking into my purpose and that’s why I was so anxious to leave because I thought I was ready. But we know God is very funny and he will always give you what you ask for just not the way you want it lol That’s exactly what he has done, he has called me higher and deeper in him, not to stop walking on the water called faith, not to go back to the boat called comfortability by getting another job, no he has called me to continue to grab his hand, gaze in his eyes and trust him as he guides me step by step to walk above the storm and to walk on the waves. I have learned that that I am actually always on assignment whenever, with whoever and wherever I am at. I am a pilgrim on an journey here on this earth and that to surrender is not just a one time choice but a daily choice to say today I die that you live Jesus may I do your will and not my own. So I have been asked the question so many times what are going to do, what’s next, what are you waiting for? All I can say is that I am being led by the one who loves me the most, who created me and knows my purpose and is threading this beautiful tapestry of grace called my life and only he knows the finished work. As he is building my trust in him in a deeper way, growing a greater level of faith in me and sanctifying me for his use. Of course he has me waiting again for the next direction. As I sit at his feet I find myself wondering what he is up too slightly anxious if I can be honest but excited about this crazy adventure that I get to do with my forever life partner, leader and guide Jesus!

Prayer Changes Everything- I AM is in Control!

intercession_praying_the_perfect_will_of_god
Many have forgotten the power of prayer. That is the greatest gift the Lord has given us to have fellowship and communion with him through prayer. Sometimes prayer can seem like a to-do list, or better yet just dropping off a list of things to God you want him to  do for you. However, its gives us an opportunity to communicate with the creator of the Universe, the ONLY God through his son Jesus. As you can see I used the word communicate because prayer is a conversation. It wasn’t until these past two years walking with the Jesus did I finally realize that. You see, through Jesus Christ we can have a personal relationship with God where he speaks to us, guides us, and councils us. Many religions or “spiritualists” have a form of prayer or mediation but to be frank they are speaking to false gods/spirits and none can offer a personal relationship with God. To them it seems unheard of to have God speak to them and that’s what Jesus offers. When he shed his blood on Calvary and in three days raised up to sit on the right hand side of God the Father he now prays for us  as the mediator. By his name and his name alone can we come before the presence of God and make our request known. So there our 3 main points all believers should know about prayer which I hope will be make you more excited to come to the Lord everyday to speak to him!

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus

  1. Prayer is an wonderful opportunity to have a conversation with God

Have you ever had a phone call from a friend who called to just vent, he/she goes on and on doesn’t allow you to get one word in then says thanks I feel better then just leaves? I mean maybe at first it would be funny but after a while you wouldn’t want to pick up their call. lol I think that’s what many believes do in prayer….me included at times, it wasn’t until walking with Jesus did I find out that he actually talks back! I thought hearing the voice of God was for a select “gifted or chosen” person but the Lord kept reminding me in his word my sheep hear my voice and none other will they follow. So that means I can hear him too, you can hear him too! Just like Adam walked with God in the Garden in the cool of the day speaking to him pouring out his heart and God pouring out his heart to him we have that same grace through Jesus Christ. So every believer can hear Gods voice through prayer after you vent (which there is absolutely nothing wrong with) because guess what….God wants to be included with every part of every detail of your life. He is that crazy about you truly, no detail in your day or life is too small for God! Then be still and allow him to speak to your heart. That’s where you will hear his thoughts, write them down and you will be amazed at the counsel, wisdom, encouragement or love words that you receive.

Psalm 91:14-15
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer;

2 . Prayers move the heart of God to act on HIS behalf according to HIS will

 1 John 5:14
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to HIS WILL, he hears us.

I have heard it said sometimes that how is it we can change the mind of God, but the truth is we don’t change his mind we are able to move his heart as his children. God is not a distant deity who just looks down on us and sees if we can try to figure out but he desires a relationship with us and he loves to hear our wants and needs especially if it lines up with his. The closer you get to God the more you will began to have his heart, his eyes, his wisdom in all circumstances in life because you know him. Just like Abraham, he was a friend to God when the Lord was going to make the decision to bring judgment on Sodom  he came to Abraham and told him what he desired to do.  Genesis 18:17 Then the LORD said, “Shall I hide From Abraham what I am about to do?  How Abraham then pleaded with the Lord to have mercy on that nation even bargaining with the Lord saying what if we find  fifty righteous people, then too forty, then too thirty  then to twenty,  then too ten righteous in order to save Sodom and what did the Lord say? He said sure ” I will not do it If I find 10″ I just love that, he heard the prayer of his son who prayed according to his heart and will. Sometimes, we may even have a tendency to think God doesn’t cares about my opinion, my suggestion, my thoughts about any matter,  oh Yes he does! lol.

3. Prayer is an opportunity for every child of God to become an intercessor

Hebrew 7:25
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

An intercessor is a person who intervenes on behalf of another, especially by prayer. Have you ever prayed for you siblings, coworkers, your child, spouse, and the person driving in a car next to you, a tragedy, a group of people, or a nation? Then you are an intercessor by definition! The greatest intercessor we have is Jesus Christ; he lives and sits on the right hand side of God interceding for us daily. Wow, the Lord prays for us every day to the Father for more grace upon our lives that we might fulfill what he created us for. How I am so grateful that the times when I can seem to even pray for myself we can take comfort that Jesus is praying for us. The Lord has always desired his children to partner and join him in prayer. He gives us all burdens for different things. It might be a next door neighbor, the car accident in front of you, what you heard on the news or someone that just dropped in your heart. Those thoughts are not your own and that is the Lord prompting you to pray in agreement with him because he knows that prayers move the heart of the God the Father and he will answer.

Revelation 8:4
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.

So knowing all of these things, why do we so easily get discouraged, worry, fall into doubt, frustration or anger as to what is going on in the world as if I AM is not in control. God is in complete control and is not surprised by what is going on in the world and especially our nation. We just have to change our hearts and our perspective to know that we have a God who sits on the throne of heaven and desires to hear our hearts, talk with us, answer us and partner with us in prayer. So that his kingdom will come and His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. So will you seek Gods face, pray, and partner with him to intercede for this world and this nation?
Below is a prayer list the Lord gave me and I pray as you are led by the Holy Spirit you will began to hear the Lord speak, share your heart and began to pray with God given burdens for others each day. God bless you!

When The Enemy Assigned Death The Lord Declared Life & Multiplication!

1461112_10153854559639774_6665001791689694924_n

This has definitely been an exciting weekend for my family. I am in awe at the Lord seeing the fulfillment of his faithfulness, his mercy and grace upon my families life. My older brother who was locked up for 3 years was released 7 years early on good behavior to come home to be with us yesterday! Isn’t God so gracious and merciful. We  all got together at my mothers house for a celebrations. The whole family which includes, 8 nieces and nephews , my 5 sisters , my brother and a few friends. For the first time in 3 years my mother had all 7 of her kids under her roof again. So you had to imagine the house was so noisy with celebration and yes, of course yelling at the kids to tone it down lol. Toward the end of the night we had a friend group us all together to take a picture and they said wow there is so many of you all. I looked around and smiled inside because there is so many of us, to think just a few years ago the number of people in my family brought me shame, embarrassment, guilt, sadness, hopelessness, irritation and even anger.  I just had to praise the Lord for his sovereignty, his goodness, faithfulness and his grace in that moment he reminded me where death was assigned to our family he not only declared life but multiplied us as well! Thank you Jesus he is so awesome!!

You see at some point each one of my siblings even my parents have faced death. Only a few years ago did I notice this pattern and assignment the enemy was after our family intentionally, and intensely. As he is after every believer, however the Lord always protected us, sustained us and I know see the manifestation of the Lord redeeming us! So just  a little family history of the instances in our family where the enemy  could’ve taken each of us out if it wasn’t for the Lords intervention. My mother at young age of 21 was walking home from work when she first arrived in the states. She was told at the time from my uncle not to get a ride from anyone and wait on him however, she was tired didn’t listen and got a ride from a passerby. He then decided to take a route separate from my mothers house and attempted to lock her in the car. However, my mother said something told her to jump out the car during a red light and she did just that. Running for her life and she learned her lesson that day  that it was the grace of God that nudged her to run out the car. My father was also in a bad car accident where he was thrown out the vehicle and almost lost his life as a youth. Then my older brother Todd,  has had many battles. Starting from my mothers womb he almost died, they had to take him out with forceps thought he would be blind or have brain damage but, within a few weeks was perfectly fine. The following years of his adolescences and adult life got involved with the wrong crowd and friends. Had many fights, and as a family we had many nights of prayer for him not sure if he would return home. However, even with him a getting sentenced I see the Lord hand in that because the Lord corrects those he loves and keeps them from harm even sometimes we don’t perceive what he is doing. Thank you Father!

Hebrew 12:6
For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

Now to me, I had one of the most terrible accidents about 5 years ago where me and friend where driving from the club (yes partying and drinking) we were side swiped and our car flipped rolling over the median into the merging lane, we landed on top of another car and rolled again 5 times into the grassy plain across the highway about a few feet from light pole. With no seat belt  I landed right side up and I literally had a half inch scratch on my back. Where as my other friend had bruised lung but we were all perfectly okay. If that isn’t God I don’t know what is! Then my younger sister Nana Fremah also had a death or life encounter giving birth to her son, Tristen where she began to hemorrhage right after giving birth.  She at one point thought of having abortion when she found of out her pregnancy. She made an appointment and upon entering into the facility for the procedure she stated the Lord nudged her to walk out  and she did just that. My wonderful nephew Tristen would’ve never been here if she didn’t listen. Then my sister following her Nana Serwah has been in two almost deadly car accidents. One was with my other sister who follows her Nana Kondau, where the car they were driving caught on fire. They were told by a family driving beside them to jump out. So they jumped out of the car and upon the car hitting the curb it exploded. Can you believe that,  something out of  an action movie. They both walked away with scratches by the Grace of God! To add to this testimony when my sister Nana Kondua got pregnant with her children the first one we call Zay Zay was born with seizures which the Lord has already declared by his word and even in a vision that he will heal her!! The second one, Naomi was a troubled pregnancy my sister had no ammonic fluid. The doctors told her to abort but, she didn’t trusting the Lord will let the baby live. Sure enough Naomi came out kicking, screaming feisty premature baby so strong and still has no issue even now. We thank God for his Grace!! Now, with Nana Frimponga known as Nana #5 has gone through many trials of depression & even suicide. When we were hopeless and as she was admitted into the hospital, my mother weary not sure what to do but to pray. She told my sister not to take the medication trusting the Lord and sure enough the Lord guided my sister to the bible she began to read it and was able to overcome this battle. We thank God that his word is power it against any strong hold!

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So now seeing where the enemy had not only tried to take my parents out even before they had us, then take each of us which would then stop my sibling from having their beautiful children. I remember about 4 years ago being in the car driving to my mothers house and so saddened, burdened and in despair as to where my family was. My siblings kept having a children it seemed like every year and the toll it was taking on my mom. I just broke down in the car asking the Lord why, where was here, it seems are prayers were going in circles. I was just tired and utterly broken, I felt so helpless, alone and hopeless. I know now that was the furthest from the truth. The Lord was right there and has been all along. He even brought a scripture to my attention a few months ago regarding children:

Psalm 127: 35
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.

Isn’t that beautiful scripture, that is how good our God is that even out of wedlock, even in the midst of our sin he blesses us with a beautiful gift of children and what a blessing all 8 of them are now to us. Yes, we still have our struggles in our family and by no means is everything perfect but now looking back I thank God for our numerous trials , I thank him for his Grace upon us, His Mercy, His Goodness, His Love and his Faithfulness! We are still waiting and trusting him to see the manifestation of all his promise’s but, I now know that we were never alone and we will never be alone. We can face anything as a family by his grace for he will never leave us or forsake us. Thank you Lord that when the enemy assigned death to our family not only did you declare life but you multiplied us as well!! Praise you Lord, Love you Jesus!!
