Lord I give to you my burdens and worries. I lay all my expectations down at your feet. Trust that You will fulfill your purpose in me and Derrick both. I relinquish all control and expectations of how things should be. Help me Lord to navigate through these twists and turns.
Lord, I’m thinking this is the sacrifice you’re asking of me?
And just as an aside guys, I’ve just been getting Rhemas over and over about being a living sacrifice, or sacrifice, in the Lord’s Supper reading about when Abraham was sacrificing his son. And the Lord keeps telling me “Sacrifice, sacrifice”.
Jesus Responded,
“Yes beloved, you keep looking to him, but I need you to look to Me my little one –and Jesus was smiling, and He said- and feed my sheep. I know the first half of this union was turbulent, but there are many joys pleasures, peace and fruitfulness ahead. I have healed you and will continue to heal you so now you can be truly all I called you to be. I know you desired to do this missionary life side by side together in the way that you perceived it to be, but you will do it together; just in my way, beloved.
“Father Derrick has a great gift, many gifts I have given him. Sharing the gospel is one of them but so is business, and stewardship. That is why so many lean on him with great trust, because I trust him and have given him favor among men. He will be greatly sought after, but as he draws nearer to Me the accolades and praise of men will grow dim in his eyes and My praise my love and My will, will be the most important thing in his life. All of this takes time and growth in grace beloved. I am leading him through these opportunities that are presenting themselves, through his interactions and building relationships – it’s is all for a greater purpose, a greater good, and for a greater work, so trust Me and let go.
“I know your idea of family and what you had in mind, and I will give you the desires of your heart. He will be that and so much more, but in this season, allow Me to have him to Myself in this way, leading and guiding him in his travels, business relationships and opportunities. There will be lessons set up daily for him to grow in greater virtue, to learn My ways and to grow his trust in Me. As you focus on ministry and be faithful to all the demands that I have given you to do without distraction. Trust that I will bring all things around to the expected end. The greatest thing you can do in this season is pray and support him in his endeavors and be very faithful to Me. Be very disciplined with your time and utilize the gifts I have given you.
“You are now free from the torments and harassment of the evil one in this marriage although they will always try to tempt and suggest, your heart is at peace because of My words to you. You can trust Me and trust him. The moment you take your eyes off of Me, anxiety will envelope you, but when you keep your eyes fixed on Me and the work we have to do together, your peace will reign. For there is much you have to do beloved little one. I am walking with him and I am walking with you as well, so it’s not so parallel as the enemy would make you think.
“Every step and direction is all part of My plan, so do not fear little one, you have nothing to be afraid of; rather, praise Me for what I am doing and the opportunities I have opened for you two. He will be a man like Lazarus; industrious, faithful, diligent, hardworking, full of wisdom for business and have a heart to finance, My work and ministry. So do not fear and let go of the expectations you had. So much of what I am doing is answering your prayer, just not in the way you perceive it to happen so thank Me and trust.”
Ok Lord, I lay this idea expectation now and trust You will give me my heart’s desire. In the meantime, I give myself fully to You for Your work. Help me not to look back anymore, but forward thank You for what You’re doing Lord and this wonderful opportunity you have given Father Derrick. Please guide his discernment, his thinking and the motivations of his heart.
“That I will answer my bride there is nothing to fear.”
Lord, do you have a word for your flock?
“The Power of your sacrifices, you have heard it said, obedience is better than sacrifice and it is, but your sacrifices are also so pleasing to Me. Every little sacrifice My brides, is accounted unto righteousness and deposited in your Heavenly account for rewards not only in this life, but in the next, and that is why I state that I am grateful for every little thing. No sacrifice is too small for Me my beloved ones. What is the meaning of sacrifice?
Jesus, sacrifice is to give up something that you really like? I felt led to look up the definition.
There were two other definitions, but I felt this is the sacrifice he was talking about give up (something valued) for the sake of other consideration.
Jesus continued now,
“So you see, to give up something of value for My sake, is to give up something for the sake of My fathers glory, the sake of the salvation of souls, for the purposes of advancing the Kingdom of God. Every sacrifice means something and is used towards these means. When you offer Me something of value, you empty yourself and I am able to fill.You see, I give you something in return far greater in worth with every sacrifice you offer to Me. It changes not only your lives, but the lives of those who will come after you.
“The power of your sacrifice is generational. One sacrifice a soul can give me can change the trajectory of their lives, that of their children and their whole linage. There are so many testimonies in the Bible of this. Abrham, Moses, Joseph, My grandparents Anna and Joachim who lived a life of great purity for 19 years to ensure the child My mother gave to them, would be one of great purity, and their sacrifice was rewarded. Each received their reward, and it changed nations, it changed history. The decision for Esau to forgo his birthright for food, changed his destiny. Where as the decision for Daniel and his friends to fast from the food of the king, changed their destiny and the destiny of a nation.
Daniel 1:8-20
Daniel did not want to eat the king’s rich food and wine because it would make him unclean. So he asked Ashpenaz for permission not to make himself unclean in this way. God caused Ashpenaz, the man in charge of the officials, to be kind and loyal to Daniel. But Ashpenaz told Daniel, “I am afraid of my master, the king. He ordered me to give you this food and drink. If you don’t eat this food, you will begin to look weak and sick. You will look worse than other young men your age. The king will see this, and he will become angry with me. He might cut off my head. And it would be your fault.” Then Daniel talked to the guard who had been put in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah by Ashpenaz. He said, “Please give us this test for ten days: Don’t give us anything but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then after ten days, compare us with the other young men who eat the king’s food. See for yourself who looks healthier, and then decide how you want to treat us, your servants.” So the guard agreed to test Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah for ten days. After ten days, Daniel and his friends looked healthier than all the young men who ate the king’s food. So the guard continued to take away the king’s special food and wine and to give only vegetables to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. God gave these four young men the wisdom and ability to learn many different kinds of writing and science. Daniel could also understand all kinds of visions and dreams. At the end of the three years of training, Ashpenaz brought all the young men to King Nebuchadnezzar. The king talked to them and found that none of the young men were as good as Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. So these four young men became the king’s servants. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
“You see, even a simple fast offering of food or abstinence has great impact before Me and for your families. Many are healed of generational illness and curses by fasting and abstaining. You offer Me your favorite delight, or days of abstaining until a certain time – for you it may be to seek an answer or receive an answered prayer, but unbeknownst to you, I also use it to purify, sanctify and heal your body. You offer the sacrifice of self-love by putting yourself last, doing the will of another, being charitable when you are met with ingratitude or unkindness. Unbeknownst to you, I reward you with graces of virtues which purify your soul and will cause you to affect the people around you and in your family in a positive way. You don’t realize the transformation taking place begins to rub off on them and your children become more pure because of it.
“For some, your sacrifices may be to you more life changing, like moving to a different location, a new job, or leaving a job because I have made it clear to it is My will for you. Your obedience is blessed, but your sacrifice is received. Or enduring in a difficult relationship and marriage, sacrificing your happiness to rather endure and be patient for what I will do because I have made My will known to you, is highly prized and because you have sacrificed, you will be blessed; blessed generationally, because everything that is suffered is not wasted and everything that is asked of you has a purpose and plan to the bigger picture of bringing My Fathers’ Kingdom on this Earth.
“When Rahab sacrificed her safety and that of her family to trust Israel spies, rather than her own people she didn’t know that one act changed the destiny of her family and grafted her into my genealogy. Bulls and goats were needed in the past as a sacrifice for the atonement of sin, but after My ultimate sacrifice for mankind, the sacrifices now asked are sacrifices made out of love for Me, and that is why your sacrifices are so powerful My brides. It is not out of compulsion, out of fear, or out of the law you do these things, but simply out of love. You sacrifice what you value to show Me your love and because of that, I will in turn shower My love and blessings on you for all that you give Me and lay down.
“You will receive back in greater measure, so don’t withhold anything. Do not cup your hands too tightly to anything; to any idea, expectation, or desire, because it may be asked of you in total surrender to Me and to My merciful heart, trusting that what you give me will be given to you pressed down shaken and running over, as you become a fragrant offering to Me and all of Heaven. A sweet aroma of a life laid down for love of Me.”
Then I went to the Bible Promises and the Lord gave me scripture of ‘Loving God’. And it said: Be happy in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart.
Amen and amen! Thank You Jesus. Give us the the grace to give up all that you ask of us, in a good spirit and a good heart.
