Hello Brothers, Sisters, and Heartdwellers Family.
I hope you have enjoyed the journey with Jesus and me in Zambia, touching the lives of so many people and children because of your support and prayers. This vlog is towards the end of my trip as I headed back to Pastor Brian’s area to spend some time with the kids in the community. We had a really fun water balloon fight.
I first came to this community on the first day I arrived. It was so late that although we were able to pass out toys and books for the children, I didn’t get a chance to really spend time with them. So I was excited to get to know them. As you can see, all the children in each community are in need of various things and, more importantly, in need of attention and care — somewhere they can be taught — not on the ground, in the dirt or on the grass, but a safe place to cultivate their gifts and grow into all the Lord has called and created them to be. The children are hungry to learn and to do fun activities and that is what Children’s Hope Community Center will be all about. There is no place in the area for kids to be children. The majority of the adults have more than one child and leave them to their own devices. We want to build this community center not just for the children but even for the parents where they can learn a skill or trade.
Many in this area are suffering from destitute poverty because they have no means to start up a business or to make any income for themselves. Also the health conditions — the children in this area are so susceptible to so many illnesses, sicknesses and skin diseases that can be easily treated by-off-the-counter drugs that we have here in the US. Some need serious medical attention and they are unable to receive that because they have no vehicle to get to a doctor, and the government hospitals leave many still in pain and not healed. The vision of the Children’s Hope Community Center is to help children whose parents cannot afford to provide for them with basic needs and the orphans at large, teaching them to know and love God intimately.
We want to purchase land to provide an area where children can play sports like soccer, volleyball, handball — and the children under [the age of] ten will be given a playground. We’ll have an Adoration chapel where parents [can come] and services will take place — a soup kitchen where we will provide three meals or more each week for free and a pharmacy where children and adults in the community can receive free medication. All four communities are pretty far from one another, more than 20 -30 miles apart. We would like to purchase three buses so that each community would have a bus to take the children to and from the community center, so no child misses out. Another portion of the land we receive will be zoned for farming and cultivating gardens for food. This community center will be available three to four times a week to gather children, provide clothes, serving them, and learning the word of God. According to:
Matthew 25:34-36,
The King will say to those on the right come who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance the King prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me.
Our goal is to fulfill the scripture to see Jesus under the guise of these precious little ones who are in need of hope. Will you partner with us to establish Children’s Hope Community Center? Love you guys, God bless you until the next message
